Letter from the vicar 20 Jan 2021

MESSAGE TO FAMILIES

To all our young and young at heart members of St. Barnabas:

We hope you are keeping safe and well during the current restrictions and we just wanted to send a message to say that you are still in our thoughts and prayers.

We are sad to say that we have now decided to suspend all COGS, Busybees, and 3rd Space activities and broadcasts until September of this year. By then we hope that a form of ‘normality’ may return to our communities, including St. Barnabas Church. We are now planning for what that return may look like.

However, we want you to know that we are continuing at St. Barnabas Church in other ways. Our public services continue as advertised on our website, Facebook, and email communications. You are welcome to attend in person or online at the advertised times. Please continue to refer to our latest communications, as we have all now experienced that events can change rather quickly.

  • On the first Sunday of the month at 9.30am we will continue to run an all age service in the place of COGS.
  • We will be sending out short videos at regular intervals to keep you connected with the Busybees team and their songs, Zak from 3rd Space, and other friends from St. Barnabas Church too.
  • In the summer we may be able to meet in larger groups outside and as such,  it is hoped to arrange an all age BBQ and social.

As the days lengthen it is also becoming possible to do activities with children outside again. As such, we recommend this website for you www.muddychurch.co.uk as it is full of ideas. So until we meet again, please look after yourselves and keep in touch.

We are here for you.

God Bless

Derek
