A great opportunity to look closely at one of the enduring statements of the Christian faith. This autumn we're offering a series of sessions to explore, section by section, the text of the Nicene Creed, which was formulated 1,700 years ago. Regular worshippers recite this text weekly, but do we pause and think what it means?
This is by no means just for seasoned Christians. The creeds summarise the Christian faith, so this is particularly helpful to anyone exploring the Christian faith, for those considering baptism or confirmation, or recently baptised.
Each session runs twice, on a Monday evening (starting at 7:00pm) and the following Tuesday afternoon (2:30pm), for an hour or so, all in St Barnabas Parish Centre, Emmer Green, RG4 8RA. Here are the dates:
- 15th and 16th September: We believe in one God …
- 29th and 30th September: We believe in Jesus Christ …
- 13th and 14th October: For us and our salvation …
- 27th and 28th October: On the third day he rose again …
- 10th and 11th November: We believe in the Holy Spirit …
- 24th and 25th November: We believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic church…
While there is an obvious connection to the series, each session is self-contained. All are welcome to any sessions you are able to join us for!
We look forward to seeing you there.
