A funeral marks the end of a person’s life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God’s keeping. These can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a full church or chapel.
Funerals, whether in church or at a crematorium, are normally arranged through funeral directors in the first instance, but if you want to talk to the Vicar about a funeral or bereavement, then please phone him on 0118 947 8239. You can find funeral service resources on the Church of England website by clicking the icon on the right.
