Churches Together in Caversham (CTC) Annual Assembly: 23rd April, 7:30pm here at St Barnabas – please support this important collaboration between the churches in Caversham.

Earth Day Litter Pick! Monday 22nd April is Earth Day, a global movement to remind us of the importance of looking after our environment. Christine Bartlett is organising a litter pick in the afternoon: please speak to her to join in (and tell her where the litter pick is most needed!)

Eco tip: For those of you thinking about holidays, travel-sized beauty products are so alluring, but cause a huge amount of waste for no reason and very little product. Instead, make a one-off investment in refillable travel bottles and pots from Boots or Superdrug: even better, wash out and reuse any mini bottles you already have.

AB Walker Annual Memorial Service: this will take place in The Minster, Reading RG1 2LG, on Sunday 21st April, starting at 4:00pm. All Welcome.

Environmental Film Night: Tuesday 14th May (7-9pm) in St Barnabas Church. Join us for a screening of the thought-provoking environmental documentary, The Oil Machine. Followed by a discussion about the impact of oil on our society and the environment. Click here to book or just turn up.

Scour your sheds for Mission in the Gambia! Alan Tuvey is inviting donations of surplus plumbing, electrical fittings, pipe, fixings, screws and tools, to help fit out a Pastor’s house in west Africa. Contact Alan by email: [email protected] or see the poster on the Parish Centre noticeboard.

Holiday Club for ages 5-11: Run by Churches Together in Caversham, 29th July – 2nd August at St Anne’s school, £27, Click here to book: don’t delay – places are going fast!

Regular giving to St Barnabas.  If you consider St Barnabas is your home church, please support our mission and ministry. The best way is to give regularly through the Parish Giving Scheme by clicking here. Or see the ‘Giving’ page on our website. Ask Richard Cunningham (our treasurer) or Revd Kevin for further details.
