Since the spring of 2011 members of the Study and Discussion Group have organised open meetings from time to time. Speakers have been invited to come along and give a talk about a particular topic connected with their profession or pastimes. Without exception the occasions are most illuminating and informative and we are fortunate to be able to draw from such a pool of talent within the area.
Arrangements are now in hand for the next open meeting, which will take place on the 26th July in the Parish Centre at 8.0.p.m. The speaker will be Colin Ferguson who has an M.A. in Criminal Justice. Colin worked as a Probation Officer and a Family Mediator. He is a lay preacher and a member of a writer’s circle. Colin has had articles published in many anthologies and Christian magazines. He will be speaking about his work and his writing.
Colin is well known to several members of St. Barnabas Church and for those who are able to attend the evening promises to be most interesting and inspiring.
