Welcome to St. Barnabas Church website. Barnabas was a man who lived at the same time as Jesus and during the life of the early Church he became instrumental in the spreading of the Christian gospel throughout the Mediterranean. His name means ‘encourager’. We believe that spirit of encouragement forms an integral part of the church named after him today in Emmer Green.
Like Barnabas we want to encourage and support you in a way that you will feel affirmed and welcomed by the family of the Church. This website will enable you to understand quickly and easily how we live, work and play together as a community centred around the good news of Jesus Christ.
Also like Barnabas we believe we have a message we want to share with you, the good news of the gospel which opens up a whole new life born of faith. Jesus called people to live together in a new community centred upon God, a God who can touch and change our lives. Within this new community Christians continue to believe we are here to encourage one another as Barnabas did before us. This is our life together which you will find more information about here.
